Hi, I'm Emilee.

I started my career as a graphic designer. It was creative, it was comfortable — but something was missing. I wanted to do work that mattered. Work that changed lives, not just screens. So I changed my major during my senior year of college, earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, and never looked back.

That was almost 15 years ago.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families across a wide range of communication needs — and I’ve learned that the most powerful thing an SLP can do isn’t just what happens in the therapy room. It’s what we do to empower our families. 

That’s why I created A Piece of Speech — a resource brand built for the clinicians who pour their hearts into their work, and the families who are ready to be part of the process. Every material is designed to make therapy sessions a little easier, a little more engaging, and a little more effective - whether it's in the hand of an SLP in the therapy room or a parent practicing at the kitchen table. Because progress doesn't pause between sessions. 

That is where little pieces make big communication gains.
